MODIFIED SILICON ANODE

Modified silicon anode is a material developed to increase the energy density and lifetime of lithium-ion batteries. However, silicon anode is known to have expansion and cracking problems. To solve these problems, the silicon anode can be modified with carbon and polymer-based materials. These modifications improve the mechanical properties, electrical conductivity and lithium ion diffusion of the silicon anode.
